Victoria and David chose Carlton Towers to hold their wedding- and it is fabulous, especially breathtaking in the autumn with the rich red ivy covering its walls. Mentioned in the Domesday Survey as being owned by Robert de Brus it has a long and amazing history. It was the perfect backdrop for Victoria and David’s wedding – Vic chose a cream and gold theme which complemented the rich gold and reds of the venue.
I loved the stained glass windows, the sweeping staircase, the stunning chandeliers which their florist (the amazing Lana from Anastasia) had decorated in long strands of rose petals. I loved Dave’s stripy socks!
I loved this moment with Victoria and her parents before she left for the ceremony and everyone trying not to cry when Robin sees Victoria for the first time.
We had a little autumn sunshine so I chose this spot because the ivy is beautiful and also this part of the building shows the family crest – the saracens head.
I did a pre wedding shoot for victoria and David earlier this year and they chose to use their favourite image in one of my signature board frames. It looked amazing with all their guests personal messages – a lovely record of who was there.
This is their cake from the bespoke fantasy cake makers Choccywoccydoodah in Brighton. The message on the front of the cake reads ‘ all you need is love’ . Their cake was personalised with cats as Victoria and Dave love them : ) I have seen Choccywoccydoodah creations before but nothing like this one. FAB U LOUS!!! – as Craig Revel Horwood would say!!! (yes, I am watching Strictly Come Dancing)
Congratulations to Victoria and David. I loved shooting pictures for you and cant wait to show your album design on Friday. Annemarie x
