At the end of summer last year I worked together with a creative team of wedding industry professionals who are some of the most talented people working right here in Yorkshire. I am proud to work with them and I am proud to call them friend. Together we created the styled shoot you are about to see. Driven by my love of country music, country style, my cowboy boots , and of course… cowboys ; ) I pitched the idea of the shoot to Nikki from I Do Designer Weddings and Chrissie from Horticouture. Nikki cocked her head at me and said “Ummm…Well… Ok… but I want to style it with a coral theme”. So I said “Ok, Coral”!! And the name kinda stuck!! We found this amazing rustic country style venue in North Yorkshire that actually HAS a corral, an old schoolhouse  and the most beautiful American paint horse you will ever see. She’s beautiful, such a sweetheart and her name is “Ice and Fire”.

Anyway, Nikki and Chrissie just took this basic idea and completely took it to the next level. Their creativity is off the scale! Nikki’s original ideas and attention to detail are second to none, not only can she dream up the most amazing unique things for a wedding – she can actually make them happen! In awe!!

Andrea Bambridge agreed to come on board and designed an amazing dress for the shoot that had a gingham shirt underneath and a lace shawl on top. We removed this later to show a gorgeous strapless gown. Andrea styled our bride with beads, brooches and a lace shawl and later on navajo inspired jewellery and hair.

Beckie Stirk created gorgeous make up that was fresh and natural, with coral lips and cheeks. Hair was tumbling curls, then later navajo inspired plaits.

I am Nat created lovely coral, star shaped stationery – place settings and table names all in keeping with Nikki’s vision of the perfect country western themed wedding. Loved the font.

What can I say about Chrissie and her team from Horticouture? Just the most beautiful floral decoration, transforming this rustic country cabin into a dream wedding venue. Chrissie mixed the gorgeous coral and cream roses with succulents and berries and cacti and moss.A hint of blue hydrangea matched with the ribbon on the buttonholes. Pretty, pretty, pretty.

Hope you like the shoot and that it gives some inspiration for your own wedding. A x
