I have to say that I have really enjoyed doing the honeymoon picture competition for all my 2010 coupes. Not only have I been able to indulge my love of photography by chatting all things technical – lenses and f stops and camera’s, but I have been lucky enough to share some of the wonderful places my couples have been and heard so many wonderful stories from so many wonderful honeymoons all over the world.
I enjoyed enormously getting to see other people’s pictures – and I LOVE looking at other peoples pictures – its just fascinating because we all see things just that little bit differently don’t we?
I fell in love with Iona’s description of her honeymoon picture: ” (this is) me and Gary in Venice. I don’t think it is a competition winner in comparison to some of extravagant honeymoons but I think it is because its not of anything other than me and the man that I love, which to me is just about the best thing ever. We had trekked all the way up to the Rialto Bridge in Venice from our hotel, and it was boiling hot but I had a smile on my face as Gary had promised me a massive slice of pizza and a drink if we just kept on going for a few more minutes.”
I laughed at this one of the cheeky hippo: ” Lake Navaisha in Kenya – on an early morning boat trip. This hippo was particularly nosey and kept disappearing and reappearing closer and closer, they are fast swimmers!! The boatman struggled to keep a safe distance! It was amazingly quiet and romantic – a lovely experience.”
Breakfast with the hippos on the Mara river.
Here’s one from Sophie and Richard: “Hi Annemarie, Couldn’t resist entering the competition. We decided to enter a picture from when we were honeymooning in the jungle in Ubud, Bali. After searching through all of the romantic pictures of us together we decided to give these loving couple of monkeys their 5 minutes of fame! We snapped them grooming each other on the walls around the idyllic Monkey Temple and thought they looked like a contented old married couple! Love Soph and Rich x x ”
Jonny and Rach look so blissed out here : )
“Our last night in absolute paradise on a fallen palm tree. The scenery was breathtaking looking out over the Caribbean sea.We had an amazing honeymoon and can’t wait to go back! ” Thanks Jonny and Rach
So thank you to all who shared their pics with me – judging is in a few days time and I will announce who has won the magnum of Veuve Clicquot champagne : )
