On Saturday (13 June) I was at The Hospitium in York again to shoot wedding photography for Emma and James. Fab!! A great place for a wedding, I arrived early to get a new ‘take’ on the place and find some new locations for the photography.
The flowers from The Rainflorist in Nether Poppleton were really pretty with white roses for Yorkshire and blue thistle for James’ scottish connection. James wore a kilt in the family tartan which I used as a background detail. James and Emma are such a great couple – they are both police officers who met at work. James’ aunt knitted this special police officer for the wedding – so cute!
The ruins of St Mary’s Abbey near The Hospitium makes a stunning background
I loved this kitsch little pavilion at the back of the museum gardens
Those of you who read this blog know about my passion for wooden buildings and painted wooden doors etc!! so I couldnt resist photographing Emma and James with this one in this gorgeous colour!
The reception room looked beautiful
Emma’s mum and dad, Jackie and Pete were also celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary the week of the wedding. As the sun slipped below the horizon I shot a few special pictures of the two of them.
Congratulations to Emma and James and also to Jackie and Pete.
More from this wedding to follow Thurs/Fri …
